Early Start Australia Wembley is the first dedicated early intervention centre in Western Australia providing evidence-based autism supports and early interventions including the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) approach to West Australian families

Our experienced and multidisciplinary team provide a range of allied health supports including psychology, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech and language pathology services to children aged 0-8 years in the Western suburbs of Perth.

We also provide comprehensive assessment services including diagnostic assessments for autism spectrum disorder and attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD).

The Wembley therapy team is passionate about providing evidence based supports and is home to the unique Little Oaks Early Intervention program based on the ESDM approach. Our team works collaboratively with families and believe in the enormous potential that lies within every child and young person.

Programs

As part of your therapy journey your therapist we may recommend some specific therapy programs to assist in achieving your goals including:

The use of alternative augmentative communication (AAC) strategies can support people with communication difficulties.

When working with children we use a family-centered model, supporting caregivers and children to develop skills, knowledge and understanding as we all work together.

Evidence-based, multimedia program to help children improve their social and emotional resilience. 

We run small social skills groups for children experiencing difficulties fitting in at school or with their peers.

Little Oaks is for children under five years of age, particularly toddlers, with known developmental delays, Autism or disabilities to help prepare children for kindergarten.

Provides tailored and individualised programs for children, delivered in homes, childcare, kindergarten and all natural settings.

Provides families with flexibility, offering regular sessions with an allied health assistant at home, kindergarten, childcare and all natural environments, targeting goals in the community setting.

Our therapists support positive mealtime interactions, and guide self-determination in feeding for children with restricted range or intake of food and for families who are finding mealtimes challenging.

An evidence-based parent-training program which promotes speech and language in children aged 0-5 years with a language delay.

Georgia WEmbley

Georgia Gray

Clinical Manager

Georgia is a Paediatric Occupational Therapist and Certified Early Start Denver Model Therapist who joined Early Start Australia in 2018. Georgia started with ESA in Melbourne where she completed her training and certification in the evidence-based Early Start Denver Model at the Little Oaks program in Victoria.

Since moving back to Perth in 2019, Georgia has supported the growth and development of early intervention services at Early Start Australia in WA. She is excited to be taking on the role as Clinical Manager of the first dedicated early intervention therapy centre at the Wembley clinic.

In addition to her ESDM certification, Georgia has completed a range of post graduate training in Applied Behaviour Analysis, behaviour support, SOS (Sequential Oral Sensory) Feeding, PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) and LAMP (Language Acquisition through Motor Planning).

Georgia has experience working with children of a range of ages and developmental needs and is particularly passionate about early intervention. Georgia enjoys supporting young children and families to achieve their unique and meaningful goals and aspirations using family-centred, multidisciplinary and evidence-based practice.
