However, if your therapy goals relate to supporting your child in the school environment or at home, we travel to your early learning centre, school, home or community location where we can support you and your child in their natural environment.

We listen to your needs and work with your goals in our therapy support plans.

Our multidisciplinary team can work with complex needs within the one clinic location.

You don’t need a general practitioner referral to see a speech pathologist or occupational therapist at Early Start Australia Penrith.

Yes, we strongly encourage parent participation in therapy sessions to foster an inclusive and collaborative approach for your whole family.

Yes, siblings are welcome to attend.

However, there may be occasions when the therapy sessions are more productive without siblings present, depending on the focus of the session.

Children already attending appointments for one discipline will receive priority scheduling for additional disciplines within our centre.

This ensures a coordinated approach for the child’s comprehensive care within our collaborative practice model.

During your initial appointment (either in person or via telehealth) you will have the opportunity to meet with a therapist to discuss your goals and reasons for seeking therapy services.

Depending on your situation, this appointment may also involve an assessment.

It’s beneficial to bring along any relevant documents such as doctor’s referrals, funding letters, custody/parenting orders or reports that may be helpful for us to see.

If your child has a NDIS plan, please bring this with you as well.

Additionally, you will receive an email containing consent forms and important documents to read and sign.

Our Penrith clinic has immediate availability for most therapies.

If you require a specific day or time of the week, there may be a waitlist to access popular therapy times.

Yes. We are a registered NDIS provider, and we work with agency-managed, self-managed, and plan-managed participants.

We also offer early intervention services for children up to nine years old.

Rachel Paul scaled

Rachel Paul

Practice Principal

Rachel graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) from the University of Western Sydney in 2011 and began working at Skills for Kids, now Early Start Australia Penrith, in November of that year.

In 2010, Rachel was involved in a community paediatrics program as part of a 6-month university exchange to San Jose, California.

It was this experience which formed Rachel’s commitment to working with children to increase their participation in the home and school environment.

She is particularly passionate about working with children with Autism and completed a Master of Autism at Griffith University in 2017.
