Kimberlee Drummond
Practice Principal
Kimberlee is a Paediatric Occupational Therapist having gained her Bachelor of Occupational Therapy from The University of Queensland with Honours. Kimberlee has experience working with all ages, from which she has developed a keen interest and passion for early childhood intervention.
Kimberlee endeavours to support her clients to reach their full potential through inclusivity and trust built on connection with children, and valuing and respecting all significant caregivers. Her approach to intervention is based on a holistic and positive experience.
Having joined Early Start Australia in 2018 following previous roles in Occupational Rehabilitation and Autism specific therapies, the Core Values of Early Start Australia resonate deeply with Kimberlee. Sharing in the delight of each child that enters our clinics, Kimberlee wholeheartedly believes that Fun should always remain at the centre of her work.
Always striving to understand and deliver evidence-based best practice, Kimberlee has completed post graduate training in a variety of therapy approaches and techniques, including the Early Start Denver Model for early intervention. Kimberlee has also completed further training in the CO-OP Approach for skill acquisition, Applying Psycho-Sensory Interventions and Trauma-Informed Practice, toileting and sleep, play skills, and sensory processing. Kimberlee is also a trained facilitator of the Secret Agent Society group program.
Kimberlee’s relentless passion is not limited to her work within the Allied Health field. Outside of work, she teaches karate to children and adults of all ages and has obtained her third level Black Belt.
