The Allied Health Assistant program provides families with flexibility, offering regular sessions with an allied health assistant at home, kindergarten, childcare and all natural environments, targeting goals in the community setting.
The allied health assistant will be working under the supervision of the allied health staff to help practice skills learned in the clinic in the community environment
The program combines:
- Regular sessions in clinic or via telehealth with an allied health professional such as a speech therapist or occupational therapist
- Weekly sessions at home or kinder or childcare with an allied health assistant
The program can assist with:
- Developmental delay
- ADHD
- Motor skills
- Sensory processing needs
- Communication support
- Intellectual needs
