What is Cogmed working memory training (Cogmed)?

Cogmed is a software-based intervention designed to improve attention in people with focus, attention or working memory issues. Studies have consistently demonstrated that, upon completion of Cogmed Working Memory Training, 80% of participants have significantly improved their ability to concentrate and use complex reasoning skills over the long term.

What is working memory?

Working memory is known as the heart of intelligence. It is part of executive functioning which is a group of skills including flexibility, creativity, problem solving, frustration tolerance and planning. Executive functioning helps us focus on multiple streams of information at the same time, and revise plans as necessary. These lifelong skills develop in infancy and continue to develop into early adulthood.

Who is recommending Cogmed?

Today, hundreds of experts in the fields of medicine and psychology are embracing working memory training. They’ve brought the breakthrough approach into practices and schools around the world and are helping people of all ages succeed in areas of their lives that were once constrained by poor working memory.
