Early Start Australia is a national therapy organisation dedicated to helping children and families grow to their full potential.

Our clinic teams can include occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists and speech pathologists. We work with families to provide the best start for each child to grow and develop, which is achieved through supporting families to develop their child’s language, motor, cognitive, sensory, social and emotional skills, and provide evidence-based therapy supports.

Our therapy is based on the Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) approach which supports families to help their children develop the skills they need for everyday life and achieve the best outcomes throughout their life. In addition to this, our services follow the model endorsed by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) of being:

  • family centred
  • strengths and interests based
  • collaborative
  • culturally responsive
  • inclusive and natural environment based

We work with all children requiring assistance. We can help children with everyday activities such as handwriting and toilet training, and those with more specialised needs who have:

  • Speech and Language development
  • Fine motor difficulties
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Sensory Processing difficulties
  • Developmental delay
  • Genetic conditions including Down syndrome and Achondroplasia
  • Low muscle tone
  • Feeding difficulties and oral sensory aversion
  • Neurological and developmental conditions like Cerebral palsy and spina bifida
